Kathleen joined Ability Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2014 as a Board Director and the management team as the Chief Operating Officer in 2015. She is leading Ability into a strategic growth phase alongside the original founders who built the company starting in 2004 with one office. Ability has 11 offices in 4 states and is a vanguard in the industry serving patients’ needs with custom devices to enhance the quality of their life and deliver excellent clinical outcomes on their behalf.
Kathleen came to Ability with over 20 years of multi-industry experience, including over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry. She brings with her experience that includes strategic planning; operational management; supply chain; product launch; marketing and sales operations management; merger integration across small, mid-size and large companies. Kathleen was the Chief Operating Officer for Prism Pharmaceuticals, a VC backed company, which was acquired in 2011 by Baxter Healthcare for a total value over $300M. Preceding Prism she was the VP and General Manager of Dover Communications, a privately owned medical education company that was acquired by CardinalHealth. Prior to joining the private company ranks, Kathleen enjoyed a successful career working at AstraZeneca, AstraMerck, Price Waterhouse, and General Electric.
Kathleen has also parlayed her unique business experiences into a strategic consulting practice focused on entrepreneurial businesses in the healthcare and life sciences market which she still dabbles in from time to time to fulfill a personal passion of sharing her learnings forward.
