Jordan Warshafsky, MBA
Jordan Warshafsky has over 30 years of life science industry experience with an extensive background in pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnology. For past eleven years he has been a partner and owner of the executive search firm Ashton Tweed, LTD, a firm specializing in placing executives in the life science industry. A co-creator of the Ashton Tweed Life Sciences Talent Bank, he has previously held industry senior corporate-level leadership positions in business development, global marketing and strategic planning to include being the President of a start-up life science company. Jordan is Ashton Tweed’s “ambassador” and can be found at many of the region’s Life Sciences Industry meetings and very active in the local industry organizations to include BioNJ and PA Bio.
Jordan is on the board of a number of organizations such as the Pharmaceutical Consulting Consortium International, the Philadelphia Israel Chamber of Commerce and Mid-Atlantic Diamond Ventures. He is also an advisor to a number of organizations and companies including the University of Pittsburgh Coulter Translational Research II Partners Program, EpiGen, Inc., Edge Therapeutics and others.
Jordan Warshafsky has served as President of TyRx Pharma, Inc., a private biotechnology company. Mr. Warshafsky established significant strategic partnerships with companies in the areas of drug delivery, orthopedics and interventional cardiology (CV stents) worth over $100MM in current and future revenues. He raised well over $6.0MM in investment funding.
Previously, Mr. Warshafsky served as the Vice President, Strategic Development for Integra LifeSciences, a manufacturer and marketer of biotechnology/medical devices for neurosurgery, where he helped change the strategic direction of the company making it possible for ILS to grow from a $16MM company to one that exceeds $900MM in revenue today. Mr. Warshafsky also served in the capacity of General Manager of the company’s Neurosurgical and Women’s Health Care businesses.
Prior to joining Integra LifeSciences, Mr. Warshafsky was Associate Director, Worldwide Franchise Management at Bristol–Myers Squibb. In that position, Mr. Warshafsky was responsible for the worldwide management of hospital anti-infective products from drug discovery stage through and beyond product launch. Mr. Warshafsky managed the launch of an important new injectable antibiotic while in that position.
Mr. Warshafsky held the position of Senior Manager, Worldwide Product and Market Planning, Wound & Skin Care, ConvaTec (previously a div. of Bristol-Myers Squibb). In that position he was responsible for the acquisition/in-licensing of wound care products to expand the company’s product portfolio to help the company grow into new areas of wound care.
Prior to the above positions, Mr. Warshafsky spent the early part of his career working in the pharmaceutical and health care products industries.
